y’s lead pharmacist, Dr. Behrooznia visited a local pre-school for their career day to share her passion with them. Dr. Behrooznia demonstrated the importance of pharmaceutical work to the developing young minds of the four-year-olds at Temple Isaiah in Los Angeles. Being an established pharmacist with her own Beverly Hills pharmacy, Dr. Behrooznia is devoted to giving back to the local community.
Career Day
Throughout her time visiting the Temple Isaiah Preschool class, Dr. Behrooznia explained what pharmacists do every day so that they can accurately fill customer prescriptions. In order for the young minds to fully grasp what her job entailed, Dr. Behrooznia brought some of the tools so that she could demonstrate what she does. One of the tasks that Dr. Behrooznia demonstrated was the proper counting methods that pharmacists use in order to carefully fill prescriptions. Additionally, she explained why people need certain medication and how her pharmacy combines medications to properly fulfill these needs.
Her Career
Dr. Behrooznia graduated from Western University of Health Sciences in Pomona with a doctorate degree in pharmacy. Once she obtained her degree she worked numerous years, garnering experience before she decided to open her own pharmacy in Encino, California. As her business continued to grow and provide exceptional pharmaceutical services Dr. Behrooznia decided to open ABC Pharmacy of Beverly Hills, a Beverly Hills pharmacy.
Why Giving Back is Important
Giving back to the community is an important belief that Dr. Behrooznia holds; she reflected on her experience at the pre-school saying, “Teaching children about the variety of jobs out there in the world is important because it plants the seed for their future careers at a young age. You never know when you will leave a lasting impression on a child that could alter their career path for the better.” Being a working mother with a young son, Dr. Behrooznia emphasizes the importance of positively shaping young minds and hard work.
